Melvin Rowlands Funeral Services in Llangefni has taken delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz Vito removal vehicle from Superior Automotive Ltd.
The family-run, independent firm has been supporting families across Anglesey for 40 years. It also owns John O. Williams and Sons Funeral Directors in Beaumaris, which serves communities on the eastern side of the Welsh island.
The business is owned and run by founder Melvin Rowlands (pictured) and his wife Eleri and their daughter Manon.
Melvin said the new vehicle was the right fit for his business and its focus on service quality. “We first contacted Greg Platt at Superior, having previously purchased a used Binz limousine through him three years ago,” he said.
“We were impressed with both the vehicle and the customer service, which showed genuine care and attention to detail.
“Investing in a new fleet vehicle is a big step for any firm, but we were confident the Superior Vito would be the right choice. The premium Rise & Fall deck is fit for purpose, well designed and built to last. It presents a professional, dignified appearance and helps us deliver high levels of care from first call.”
The new graphite grey Superior Vito, complete with bespoke deck, was delivered in May and is now in regular use across the business.
“The new Vito offers a clear improvement over our previous single-deck vehicle,” said Melvin. “It’s easy to use and ideal for direct cremations, which are becoming more common. We can carry up to four deceased when collecting from hospitals across the UK. Its MPV exterior and discreet interior convey dignity when collecting from a home or hospice.
“What matters most is the care we provide to families. Six years ago, we moved to new premises with space for inclusive services of up to 70 people, covering all faiths and non-religious ceremonies. The new Vito supports our focus on dignity and professionalism.”
