Wilcox Limousines Ltd has handcrafted what is arguably the most luxurious hearse available in the UK – converting the renowned Bentley Flying Spur into a fully functional funeral service vehicle.

The leading UK coachbuilder recently delivered the vehicle to its first owners, W Uden & Sons Family Funeral Directors, who were drawn to its immaculate interior and impressive all-round performance.

The Bentley hearse has been made using the finest materials and designs – ensuring its intuitive storage areas, soft leathers, veneers, and up-to-the-minute technology will make the vehicle memorable for many years. With a profile handcrafted using CAD, the hearse houses a 4.0L V8 engine, meaning the base vehicle gracefully achieves 0-60mph in just four seconds.

The vehicle has five doors and a payload of 650kg, whilst also being made predominantly of carbon fibre. With three driving modes, the Bentley Flying Spur Hearse is a truly versatile vehicle to be enjoyed. The pièce de résistance is, of course, the iconic ‘Flying B’ on the bonnet — a mark of quality that has only been enhanced in the conversion process.

Founded in 1948, Wilcox’s quality and design principles are its ‘secret’ ingredient in producing industry leading vehicles – a secret that was recently given away by this year’s CQI International Quality Awards, which saw the family-run brand awarded ‘Quality Organisation of the Year’.

The Bentley’s first owner, W Uden & Sons, is a London based funeral director that has forged a stellar reputation for offering the perfect blend of the traditional and modern. The family has been providing its services to London and the South East for almost 140 years and is now run by its fifth generation of family members.
