From grounded beech urns to aerial ashes, JC Atkinson is launching two new products into the post-funeral market.
JC Atkinson, the leading manufacturer of coffins, caskets and urns, has added two breakthrough products to its Forever Urns range, the Obelós and Aerial Ashes. Known for keeping a keen eye out for innovative offerings, the business previewed the two post-funeral products at the NFE in June ahead of making them available to order.
The Obelós is a contemporary styled solid beech tapered urn with contrasting edge detail and interior. The three-sided tapered design has a cutaway detail at each corner, exposing a contrasting face that resolves itself as a subtle star design on the top of the lid. The lower section is designed to safely contain a portion of ashes and is sealed with a threaded beech stopper.
The top section is kept free to house small keepsakes and mementos such as a wedding ring. With a 0.7ltr capacity and sitting at a height of 32cm, it is the perfect size to be displayed on a mantlepiece, shelf or console. The Obelós is available in a light or dark finish, striking when twinned.
For the adventurous, JC Atkinson is also making available Aerial Ashes’ Scattering Ashes by Drone where friends and families can choose to deploy a drone specially modified to carry and release cremation ashes at the flick of a switch. Extensively trialled ashes release systems and procedures mean a safe, reliable and fully certified service that can be tailored to customer’s needs.
