Ladies and gentlemen, it’s a bittersweet moment as I pen my last editor’s letter for Funeral Service Journal.
It’s been an honour to edit FSJ these past seven years, during such a tumultuous time for the sector, and while at times it’s not been an easy road I leave with a profound respect for the care, commitment and service funeral professionals provide for families at their most vulnerable time.
I plan to move on to a varied mix of media work, comedy, acting, music and grand-parenting.
And I’m delighted to welcome my successor Eimer Duffy to the role. Eimer will be known to many of you already, and I know she’ll do a fantastic job.
She says: “I’m excited to take on the role of FSJ Editor, building on my passion for creating engaging and high-quality content. With a background in social media, digital marketing and content creation, I’ve spent the past few years assisting funeral professionals with their online presence and contributing articles to FSJ.
“It is a true honour to step into the role of Editor, which Russ Bravo has held with such skill, professionalism and dedication. Russ has set a high standard and I am committed to continuing FSJ’s legacy as the industry’s trusted resource.
“I look forward to working with contributors, advertisers and the FSJ team to produce thoughtful, informative and engaging issues for readers both in print and online.”
