North Lincolnshire-based funeral firectors Nichola and Jason Threadgold of Jason Threadgold Funeral Director picked up the prestigious Best Customer Service for the United Kingdom award at this year’s BizX awards held at the Excel in London.
Hosted by TV presenter Gabby Logan, the star-studded event recognised many different businesses from many different industries, and handed out awards for their contribution towards business excellence.
Jason also picked up runner-up in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.
Speaking with Nichola and Jason when receiving the award, Gabby Logan asked what this award would this mean to our business, and we replied “To achieve recognition like this is just amazing – in a room of almost 1,500 businesses to be awarded this just blows our minds. The funeral industry as a whole should be so proud of how they take care of people at the very lowest points in their lives, and we are humbled to receive this award today.”
The company – members of NAFD – have premises at Scunthorpe, Barton and Brigg in North Lincolnshire and are very involved in their local community, with Nichola and Jason being patrons of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, and supporting local sports clubs, charities, food banks and Humberside Police Federation.
Last year they won an award for the Most Dedicated Funeral Services Provider (Lincolnshire) in the Northern Enterprise Awards and have also won other local business awards.
